About this scholarship
The J.S. Henderson Memorial Adult Scholarship at Raritan Valley Community College supports adults age twenty-five and older who are beginning higher education, returning to complete a degree, exploring a new career path, or gaining additional workforce training. Management of this permanently endowed fund transferred to the RVCC Foundation to continue Jessamine Henderson's advocacy for adult learners in perpetuity. Eligible applicants apply through the RVCC Foundation AwardSpring portal during open scholarship windows. Recipients must be accepted RVCC students meeting Foundation requirements, including minimum credit enrollment, satisfactory academic progress, and FAFSA completion when eligible.
