Law students who demonstrate excellence in writing and legal research in a paper written for a law school course, seminar, individual research, or a paper accepted for publication by a legal journal are eligible.
Five awards of $2,000 each are available annually.

U.S. citizens or legally authorized workers with a minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA who are enrolled in an accredited U.S. law school or undergraduate pre-law program may apply. One $500 award is given. Submit a resume, 500 to 1,000 word essay, transcripts, acceptance letter, and proof of residency as PDFs by email.
Essay written for youFor continuing University of Calgary Faculty of Arts undergraduates entering second, third, or fourth year who have taken or are currently enrolled in at least one of GRST 551, GRST 483, or GRST 445.3. Selection is based on academic merit. Open to any citizenship or residency status. One award of up to $1,500 is offered annually. Apply through My UCalgary Portal under Continuing Undergraduate Awards. The donor is the Calgary Numismatic Society.
