About this scholarship

Young men who have lost both parents, or who lost their mother and do not have a father available, may apply if enrolled in or accepted to a New England college or university. Awards range from $500 to $5,000 depending on available funds.

Submit a one-page essay covering personal background, goals, and support system via email or mail. Only recipients are notified within 60 days of application receipt.

The Iris-Samuel Rothman Scholarship supports young men in the Northeastern United States who have faced significant family loss while pursuing higher education.
