About this scholarship
Iowa residents named National Merit Scholars by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation qualify for a full undergraduate tuition scholarship at Iowa State University for four years (eight semesters). To become eligible, students must take the PSAT/NMSQT, be named a National Merit Finalist and Scholar, apply and be offered ISU admission, designate Iowa State as first-choice college through NMSC, and submit the FAFSA. Recipients must remain continuously enrolled full-time as Iowa residents in good academic standing with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA. Because the award covers full tuition, recipients cannot also receive Loyal, Forever, True Scholar, or other Office of Admissions merit awards.
