About this scholarship
Entering undergraduate first-year students at the University of Iowa who submit a FAFSA by the deadline for maximum financial aid consideration, demonstrate financial need, and show outstanding academic merit (standardized test scores and GPA) are automatically considered for the Iowa Need-Based Academic Award.
Awards are up to $3,000. Renewable for up to eight semesters with continuous full-time enrollment (12 hours), annual FAFSA filing, and a 2.75 cumulative UI GPA.
No separate scholarship application is required beyond the FAFSA.
