About this scholarship

For Canadian citizens who hold a first degree from a Canadian university and are enrolled in at least the second year of a doctoral program at a Canadian or Commonwealth university. Any field of study is eligible.

Three doctoral scholarships are available, including awards of $15,000 for the academic year and one special $25,000 scholarship. A letter of intent is due by October 1, and the complete application by November 1. Provincial committees nominate candidates to the National Selection Committee.

IODE War Memorial Doctoral Scholarships began in 1918 to commemorate Canadians who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom.
