International Major Entrance Scholarship (Vancouver)

For outstanding international students entering undergraduate programs at UBC Vancouver directly from secondary school on a Canadian study permit. Preference goes to students with exceptional academic achievement, intellectual promise, and strong extracurricular and community involvement.

International Major Entrance Scholarships (IMES) are valued at $10,000 to $25,000 per year and are renewable for up to three additional years or until the first undergraduate degree is completed, whichever is shorter, provided the student continues to meet scholarship standing and remains an international student in Canada.

Students who apply by the UBC admissions deadline are automatically considered; applicants nominated for need-based International Scholars awards are not eligible. Made on the recommendation of the International Student Initiative Office.
