About this scholarship

First-time freshmen, transfer, and re-enrolling undergraduate degree-seeking international students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney are automatically considered for the International Loper Scholarship when they apply for admission. Deadlines vary by term.

The award provides a tuition savings of more than 30 percent (about $4,797 per academic year for 2026-27). Recipients must enroll full-time (12 or more credit hours) each semester; enrollment is checked at the end of drop/add week, and the scholarship is forfeited if full-time status is not met. Eligibility ends upon receipt of a bachelor's degree or after ten semesters, whichever comes first. The scholarship does not apply to online degree programs or graduate courses.

No separate scholarship application is required beyond applying to UNK by the term deadline.
