International Impact Award Vancouver (Start-Up)

For outstanding international students entering UBC Vancouver directly from secondary school or a post-secondary institution who demonstrate financial need and have been selected under the International Impact Award (Tuition and Living Allowance) program.

Start-up allowance awards vary in value based on the applicant's financial circumstances and transition needs for living and studying at UBC. Awards are made to students entering an undersubscribed undergraduate program of study.

Candidates must be nominated by the educational institution they are attending. Priority goes to students showing leadership, community involvement, first-generation learner status, and commitment to social justice, wellness, sustainability, or artistic and community engagement. Awards are made on the recommendation of the International Student Initiative.
