International Impact Award Okanagan (Start-Up)

Outstanding international students entering UBC Okanagan directly from secondary school or from a post-secondary institution may be considered for these start-up allowance awards. Candidates must demonstrate financial need and have been selected under the International Impact Award (Tuition and Living Allowance). Priority is given to those with leadership skills, student affairs involvement, community service, first-generation learner status, or diverse lived and socioeconomic backgrounds. Candidates must demonstrate prior commitment to social justice, human wellness, sustainability, or related areas. Consideration is restricted to students nominated by the educational institution they are attending.

Start-up allowance awards vary in value, determined by the International Student Initiative based on the applicant's financial circumstances and transition needs. The International Student Initiative recommends recipients.
