Canadian citizens or permanent residents who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations Status/Non-Status, Métis, or Inuit) or Black (African-Canadian, Caribbean-Canadian, or Afro-Caribbean heritage) and are entering a full-time engineering PhD at Ontario Tech University. Applicants must meet PhD admissions requirements and have a complete PhD application with an applicant number. Master's-to-PhD transfers are not eligible.
The fellowship provides $25,000 per year for up to four years, plus a minimum $5,000 per year graduate research assistantship from the supervisor and a full teaching assistantship from the Faculty. Mentorship, training, and networking are part of the IBET Momentum Fellowship partnership.
