About this scholarship
The Hyman Sofer Memorial Scholarship at the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business supports upperclassmen or graduate accounting majors who graduated from a Texas high school and maintain a 3.5 GPA. Recipients may accept other scholarships and grants alongside this award. The donor agreement specifies a one thousand dollar annual stipend. Students apply once through the Bauer College Scholarship Application, which opens for 2026-2027 with a priority deadline of May 15, to be considered for all Bauer scholarships for which they qualify. Applicants must be admitted to UH and the Bauer College of Business. Incomplete applications missing a resume or personal statement are not reviewed.
