About this scholarship
The HU Opportunity Scholarship is a Howard University Freshman Scholarship tier for incoming first-time-in-college students whose high school credentials and financial profile match the published HUFS matrix. Howard automatically evaluates admitted freshmen using Admissions academic data and FAFSA or ISFAA need information without a separate scholarship application. Recipients must accept Terms and Conditions on Bison Hub and submit the HUFS Acceptance Agreement by the designated deadline. The award may renew for up to eight consecutive full-time semesters when students meet the credit-hour and cumulative GPA requirements specified in their individual contract, evaluated after spring semester grades each year.
