About this scholarship
The Honors College Summer Research Scholarship at the University of North Texas awards a limited number of $4,000 scholarships to encourage undergraduate research under faculty mentorship during the ten-week summer session. Applicants must not graduate before May 2027 and must locate a professor willing to supervise new or ongoing research over the summer. The $4,000 is spread across two payments intended to help meet summer expenses; research hours themselves are not compensated. Honors College members apply through the published summer scholarship application when it opens. Recipients work with their faculty mentor on research projects that advance their academic and professional development during the summer term at UNT.
