About this scholarship
The Helen DeVitt Jones Scholarship Endowment in the College of Media and Communication at Texas Tech University awards approximately thirteen $3,000 scholarships annually to full-time undergraduate students in the college. Preference is given to entering freshmen or community college transfer students from the West Texas area. Freshmen may renew for three additional years and transfer students for one additional year by maintaining a 3.0 GPA. Recipients must attend the scholarship awards event, submit a thank-you note to the donor, and complete ten hours of approved community service each semester documented by an official community or church leader.
