About this scholarship
Female college juniors who are U.S. citizens enrolled at an accredited U.S. academic institution, with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and whose studies in entertainment and technology show exceptional promise may apply for the Hedy Lamarr Achievement Award for Emerging Leaders in Entertainment Technology.
One $10,000 award may be used at the recipient’s discretion to further academic or professional goals in entertainment technology. The winner is announced in November at a ceremony honoring Lamarr’s legacy.
Complete the DEG application and submit proof of eligibility, including GPA verification and U.S. citizenship documentation.
Austrian-American actress Hedy Lamarr was also an inventor whose work on frequency hopping helped lay groundwork for spread-spectrum technology.
