Heather Lawson Memorial Scholarship

Students in the UBC Vancouver School of Kinesiology may be considered. Preference is given to a woman enrolled in the Bachelor of Kinesiology degree program with a specialization in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program who is proceeding to the fourth year. Selection is based on sound academic standing and leadership qualities.

A $1,050 memorial scholarship is endowed by the parents of Heather Lawson.

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the School of Kinesiology. There is no separate student application.

Heather Lawson was a third-year student in the School of Physical Education and Recreation who was tragically killed in a skiing accident in March 1972.
