About this scholarship
York University Liberal Arts & Professional Studies students may receive the Harry S. Crowe Memorial Prize for the highest academic achievement in any LA&PS course with significant historical content within a calendar year. The prize is $220.
An essay or public history project may be submitted by the writer or by the course director. It is awarded for courses completed in the previous fall/winter and summer session. Established in memory of Harry S. Crowe, History Department member and twice Dean of Atkinson.

- Eligibility: the student with the highest academic achievement in any Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LAPS) course with significant historical content within a calendar year
- Based on courses completed in the previous fall/winter and summer session
- An essay MAY optionally be submitted for consideration by the writer or by the course director for whom it was written — submission is optional, not required, and no topic/prompt or word/page/characte
- Awarded for the highest academic achievement in a Liberal Arts & Professional Studies course with significant historical content within a calendar year.
