Outstanding Canadian citizens or permanent residents entering first-year Bachelor of Commerce at UBC Sauder directly from secondary school or as transfer students.
The award is a $7,500 entrance scholarship, renewable for up to three additional years subject to maintaining scholarship standing in a full-time Bachelor of Commerce program. The Sauder School of Business recommends recipients in consultation with Enrolment Services.
Mrs. Henrietta Kostman and her daughter Judith Kostman endowed the scholarship to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Harry Kostman's graduation from UBC. Kostman founded the Sally Shops retail chain and valued education as a first-generation university graduate.
