Alberta residents enrolled full-time in any year of a post-secondary program related to recreation or parks, who are active members of the Alberta Recreation & Parks Association (ARPA), may apply for the Halladay Memorial Scholarship. Candidates should show commitment to recreation and parks through volunteer work, employment, studies, and ARPA involvement.
One $1,000 scholarship is awarded. Graduating recipients are paid upon evidence of graduation; continuing students are paid on evidence of continuing full-time registration.
The scholarship honours Jacqueline Diane Halladay (1959-1981), who served on ARPA's Board of Directors and helped start the Student Standing Committee.
