Registered nurses and nurse practitioners in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Nurses who are members of the NL Registered Nurses' Education and Research Trust and enrolled full-time or part-time in a Master of Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing program at a recognized university may apply for the Graduate Nursing Scholarship. Applicants need a minimum overall average of 70% in their current program (or previous program if in first year), must demonstrate above-average interest in a particular area of nursing, and must not be a prior recipient. Preference goes to applicants who have completed at least one year of their program.
The award is $2,000 for full-time study or $1,000 for part-time study. Apply by October 15 with the Graduate Nursing Scholarship Application Form and required supporting documentation.
The Dr. Elizabeth Summers Graduate Study Award goes to the highest-ranked Master of Nursing applicant; all MN applicants are considered for both.
The Graduate Nursing Scholarship (MN, PhD) awards Up to $2,000.
