Governor General of Canada Gold Medal

Open to graduate students in all programs leading to a graduate degree who have completed all degree requirements in the twelve-month period prior to the June convocation deadline and normally hold a minimum overall GPA of 3.80. Selection weighs coursework, research, publications, presentations, and thesis or dissertation quality.

One gold medal with a variable amount is awarded to recognize outstanding graduate academic performance.

Faculties and graduate awards committees nominate recipients; no student application is listed.
