The Golden Graduate Society Scholarship was endowed in 2019 by LSSU Golden Graduates, alumni who lead the commencement procession each year. It supports a Lake Superior State University student who has earned at least sophomore status with a minimum 3.0 GPA in any major, with preference for engineering or education majors. Applicants must submit a minimum two hundred fifty word essay answering why they chose LSSU and what unique historical fact they learned about the university.
