Gokal Singh of Halwara Memorial Service Award in Social Work

Undergraduate students at UBC Vancouver specializing in social work who have a demonstrated interest in and advocacy for social justice and equality are eligible for this award. One $3,200 award is offered. Candidates must demonstrate community involvement and volunteer work both on and off campus, with a specific focus on helping disadvantaged and recent immigrant persons and groups. There is no separate application; the recommendation is made by the School of Social Work.

The award is offered by Ranjit Hall in memory of Gokal Singh of Halwara.
