About this scholarship
First- or second-year MD students at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine who take on a global-health project (about 240 hours between June and August) that advances health equity, addresses challenges in low- and middle-income settings, or supports global health education. Projects may be based in Ottawa or internationally. Students can receive funding from each Global Health Student Builder program only once during undergraduate medical education.
Award amount varies.
Submit project proposals to the International and Global Health Office. Project deadline is November 15, with a later window (around January 3) to apply to a selected project.
Part of the Global Health Student Builder Fund, which expands support for global health initiatives and the UGME Global Health concentration.
