Second- or third-year PhD students in basic biological or biomedical sciences at an HHMI-eligible U.S. institution may apply for the Gilliam Fellows Program with their faculty PhD advisor. U.S. citizens, permanent residents, DACA recipients, and eligible international students may apply.
Fellows receive annual stipend support plus discretionary and institutional allowances for tuition and fees for up to three years, along with professional development for both student and advisor. Applications close October 27, 2026.
