About this scholarship
Open to UBC students enrolled in History 307 or 401, awarded to the leading student in the field of the French in North America. If those courses are not offered in a given year, the prize goes to the student with the highest mark in a Canadian history course with a substantial French Canadian component.
The award is a $3,950 prize.
No separate application is required. The Department of History recommends recipients.
The prize was endowed by Simone and Harold Knutson in memory of Gilbert N. Tucker (1898-1955), who served UBC as scholar, historian, and teacher.
