About this scholarship
The Georgia Military Service Scholarship provides more than $85,000 over four years for forty-two Georgia high school seniors annually to attend the University of North Georgia as Corps of Cadets members and commission as Georgia Army National Guard officers. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, books, uniforms, room, and board. Applicants must be legal Georgia residents with a 3.0 GPA, receive a nomination from a Georgia legislator in their congressional district, meet Army National Guard enlistment standards, and agree to serve as an enlisted Georgia Army National Guard member while participating as a cadet. Applications are due by February 1, with later applications considered first-come, first-served if slots remain. Recipients commission as second lieutenants in the Georgia Army National Guard upon graduation.
