George L Pickard Scholarship in Oceanography

Graduate students in oceanography at the University of British Columbia who have completed at least two years of graduate study may qualify. The scholarship is $1,400. Recipients should show outstanding originality and promise in studies involving two or more multidisciplinary areas of oceanography.

The award is made on the recommendation of the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences. It honours Dr. George L. Pickard's role in developing the Institute of Oceanography at UBC.
