George Bror Boving Memorial Prize in Botany

For an outstanding UBC Vancouver student in Botany.

The prize is $700. It is made on the recommendation of the Department of Botany, with no separate student application.

Denise M. Fiala endowed the prize in memory of her father, George Bror Boving. A native of Sweden and McGill graduate, Boving joined UBC's Agronomy Extension Department in 1918 and later served as head gardener at UBC's Botanical Garden.
