Gateways to Opportunity Scholarship Program

Illinois early care and education or school-age professionals employed at least one year in an IDCFS-licensed or Preschool for All program may apply for Gateways Scholarships. Applicants must work an average of 15 hours per week, meet wage requirements, and commit to continued work in the field after completing the scholarship contract.

Scholarships cover 60% to 100% of tuition for approved early childhood coursework, with amounts varying based on income and other factors. Funding can support degrees up to the master's level.

Apply through the Gateways Registry portal or by paper application with grade reports from your most recent term. Applications are accepted year-round.
