An undergraduate student enrolled in the UBC Faculty of Forestry may receive this award.

The award is $1,900, funded through an endowment established by Gary and Louise Kenwood. Preference goes to First Nations, Inuit, or Metis students of Canada. If no eligible Indigenous student is available, the award may go to a student with demonstrated interest and strength in Indigenous issues.
