About this scholarship

The Gamecock Tradition Scholarship provides automatic merit funding to first-time freshmen admitted to Jax State with an ACT composite between 26 and 28 or an SAT between 1230 and 1320. Depending on high school GPA, annual awards range from three thousand to nine thousand dollars for the 2026-2027 academic year. Scholarships are based on the highest cumulative GPA on the admission transcript and may increase if higher test scores arrive by May 1 for fall admits. Recipients must enroll full time, earn 24 institutional credits per academic year, and maintain contract GPA requirements to renew for up to eight semesters. Out-of-state students receive in-state tuition on remaining balance.
