About this scholarship
The Gamecock Excellence Scholarship is automatically awarded to admitted first-time freshmen with an ACT composite of 29 or 30 or an SAT between 1330 and 1380. Annual scholarship values range from four thousand to ten thousand five hundred dollars based on the highest cumulative high school GPA on the admission transcript, with higher GPAs receiving larger awards within the published tiers. Out-of-state recipients pay remaining tuition at the in-state rate when receiving this merit scholarship. Awards renew for up to eight semesters with full-time enrollment, 24 earned institutional credits per year, and the institutional GPA required in the student's scholarship contract.
