About this scholarship
The G. Wayne Clough Georgia Tech Promise Program makes it possible for academically qualified Georgia residents from limited-income families to earn a Georgia Tech degree debt free. Tech Promise funding meets one hundred percent of demonstrated financial need, covering tuition and fees, housing, a food service plan, books, supplies, personal expenses, and a $1,100 laptop stipend within the first year. Funding combines HOPE or Zell Miller awards with institutional grants, scholarships, and a Federal Work-Study job. Scholars join a supportive cohort with mentoring, retreats, and professional development programming. Students must complete the standard financial aid application process, including the Georgia Tech Application for Scholarships and Financial Aid and FAFSA, by January 31 annually to be considered.
