Future Forests Fellowship

For an incoming PhD student in UBC's Faculty of Forestry whose intended studies fit one of the faculty's areas of excellence, including forest products biotechnology, bioenergy, forest genomics, climate change, urban forestry, forest management, conservation, forested landscapes, salmon ecology, forest health, forests and Indigenous peoples, or forests and human health.

An annual $70,000 fellowship is available for up to four years. Only one student may hold the fellowship at a time. It is awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Forestry in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

The fellowship was established by a private grant-making foundation.
