About this scholarship
The Frost Research Scholarship supports continuing Cal Poly full-time undergraduates with demonstrated commitment to undergraduate research, typically starting in the third year for two years with exceptions for outstanding second-year students and transfer students. Scholars receive ten thousand dollars per year plus a guaranteed opportunity to participate in the Frost Summer Undergraduate Research Program with a four thousand five hundred dollar award. Recipients commit to ten hours of research weekly with a faculty mentor, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, and apply jointly with a faculty nominator early in spring term.
