About this scholarship
Friends of Music Scholarships at UNK are awarded to new students who declare a music major or minor and qualify through the department entrance and scholarship audition. The UNK Music Program distributes more than two hundred thousand dollars in scholarships annually to majors and minors. Applicants should apply to UNK before scheduling an audition, perform prepared repertoire on their principal instrument or voice, and complete theory and piano diagnostic exams on audition day. Scholarship amounts vary by merit and ensemble requirements specified in the award letter. Auditions are held on multiple dates from January through March each year; remote auditions are available for distant students.
