Frederic H. Soward Memorial Fellowship

Open to a full-time graduate student at UBC studying international relations. The recommendation alternates each year between the Department of History and the Department of Political Science.

The award is a $4,100 fellowship.

No separate application is required. Recipients are selected on faculty recommendation in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

The fellowship honours Frederic H. Soward, who served as Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Head of the History Department during his 42 years at UBC and was a distinguished authority on Canada's role in international affairs.
