About this scholarship
The Fred Morrison Scholarship, established in 1981 by Fred Wilson Morrison, supports North Carolina undergraduates with outstanding academic achievement and financial need. Morrison Scholars are invited to the UNC Scholars Program for faculty mentorship and cohort activities. Consideration is automatic through the admission application when students complete required financial aid forms. Awards are extended at admission, with most offers made during Early Action. Scholars renew by maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA, good standing, and participation in scholar programming outlined in the scholarship acceptance agreement.
