For the UBC undergraduate who submits the best paper to Sojourners, the Department of Sociology undergraduate journal.

The department offers a $300 Francesco Duina Award annually. Awards are made on department recommendation, in consultation with the Sojourners editorial team.

There is no separate student application. The award was created in recognition of Francesco Duina, who served as Head of the Department of Sociology from 2013 to 2015.
