Four Year Doctoral Fellowship (4YF)

For full-time doctoral students at UBC Vancouver, domestic or international.

The Four Year Doctoral Fellowship (4YF) provides a $24,000 stipend plus full tuition coverage per year, for up to four years of the doctoral program, subject to satisfactory academic progress. Students who receive Tri-Agency or other prestigious external awards must accept those awards.

There is no central student application; deadlines are set by each UBC graduate program, and awards are made on the recommendation of the recipient's graduate program in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
