FMIBC Scholarship in Forestry

A graduate student who has worked in the forest sector as a resource professional and is returning to university for further post-secondary study may receive this scholarship.

The award is $2,050, endowed by the Forest Management Institute of British Columbia (FMIBC) to commemorate the contributions of the Institute and its more than 350 graduates.

The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Forestry in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.

FMIBC was established in 1985 to provide mid-career continuing education in silviculture and forest engineering to practicing forest professionals in B.C.
