Fairchild Group Scholarship

UBC Vancouver students in the Film Program or School of Journalism are eligible; the award alternates annually between the two programs.

The scholarship is $10,800, endowed by the Fairchild Group. Preference is given to Canadian and international students with good academic standing who focus on cultural diversity and entrepreneurial leadership. Graduate recipients are selected in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Recipients are chosen on recommendation of the Department of Theatre and Film in even-numbered years and the School of Journalism in odd-numbered years. There is no separate application.
