Female Canadian citizens in their second or subsequent year of graduate study at UBC Vancouver, pursuing a health-related field that could have a significant impact on the future well-being of society, are eligible for this scholarship. Preference is given to students in Audiology and Speech Sciences, Epidemiology (School of Population and Public Health), Microbiology and Immunology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Rehabilitation Sciences. The award is valued at $6,800 and recognizes demonstrated academic and leadership qualities; financial need may also be considered. There is no student application; recommendations are made by the Office of the Vice-Provost Health, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. The scholarship is funded through an endowment established by the Faculty Women's Club to commemorate its 100th anniversary as a service organization at UBC (1917-2017).
