Faculty of Applied Science Leadership Award in Equity and Inclusion

For undergraduate and graduate students studying engineering who demonstrate leadership in advancing equity and inclusion.

A $2,000 award offered annually through a gift from Dr. Katherina Tarnai-Lokhorst (B.A.Sc., M.B.A., D.Soc.Sci., P.Eng.). Apply through the Faculty of Applied Science EDI.I awards portal; awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Applied Science, and for graduate students in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Dr. Tarnai-Lokhorst has advocated for equity, diversity, and inclusion as an engineering project manager, adjunct professor, and past President of Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.
