About this scholarship
Graduate or undergraduate University of Toronto students who identify as Black may apply for the Excellence is Black Award based on financial need and a demonstrated commitment to community leadership in advancing social equity, or outstanding contributions to the Black community. Recipients must be currently enrolled or have accepted an offer in a U of T undergraduate, master's, doctoral, second-entry, or research-stream graduate program.
The award amount varies with available fund income. Apply through the in-course Student Award Application.
