UTM-affiliated thesis-based Biology graduate students (such as CSB and EEB MSc and PhD students) supervised by a Biology faculty member who have made significant, sustained contributions to the department and graduate community may be nominated for the Excellence in Service Award.
The annual award is $100. Nominations are accepted from Biology faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows, or graduate students and must include a short letter of support (maximum 250 words). Self-nominations are not accepted.
The award recognizes students who go beyond research duties to improve the student experience and foster a collaborative learning environment.
