About this scholarship
U.S. citizens or permanent residents currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. law school may apply for Emery Reddy's $2,000 Legal Studies Scholarship.
One law school student receives the award. Winners are announced in late January and must provide proof of enrollment.
Submit an original 400 to 600 word essay on what compelled you to become a lawyer and your legal career goals. Emery Reddy offers the scholarship to support students pursuing legal education.

- Proof of residency and enrollment or acceptance
- Essay must be 400-600 words
- Must be currently enrolled in or recently accepted to an accredited U.S. law school
- Must provide proof of residency and enrollment/acceptance
- Essay should follow basic essay format: introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion
- Do NOT disclose personal identifying information (name, address, contact info, resume) within the body of the essay
- Submit the essay as a PDF (max file size 256 MB)
- Provide first name, last name, educational institution, scholarship category, and email address
- Award: $2,000 for one law student (Legal Studies category)
- Essay addresses motivation to become a lawyer, intended legal practice area, and attorney goals.
- Do not include personal identifying information in the essay body.
