About this scholarship
The Elizabeth D. Gilbert Fellowship in Librarianship is awarded in April to a Berea College senior or graduate who intends to pursue graduate study and preparation for professional librarianship at an ALA-accredited institution. Selection weighs overall academic performance at Berea, contributions to the Berea College Labor Program, commitment to librarianship as a career, financial need, and graduate performance when applicable. Applicants download and complete the fellowship application form and submit it with a personal letter, official Berea transcript, and letters of recommendation emailed or mailed to the Gilbert Fellowship Committee at Hutchins Library.
